Act aggressive animals

 

In regard to aggressive animals, there is the Law 50/1999 of 23 December, on the legal regime of tenure of potentially dangerous animals. Its main points are:

 

·  Considers dangerous animals belonging to the wildlife and used as pets that are capable of causing death or serious injury to persons or damage to things.

 

·  They must have an administrative leave. To get it he must comply with the following requirements

 

- Being of legal age.

 

- Not have been convicted of the crime of drug trafficking, torture or injury, for example.

 

- Have a certificate of psychological fitness.

 

- Accreditation of having contracted liability insurance.

 

·  They have to be registered and identified by their owners.

 

·  It is strictly forbidden to train animals addressed to enhance and strengthen their aggressiveness.

 

·  The animals must have sanitary conditions favorable.

 

·  Considered a serious offense:

 

- Abandoning this type of animal.

 

- Lack of license and/or identification.

 

- The holding of competitions or exercises to show its aggressiveness.
