Addiction recovery

Recovery is a process by which the sick person happens gradually consuming or activities harmful to achieve a state of complete abstinence in the affected bears no relation to activities or addictive substances.

 

Terence Gorski performed called "evolutionary model of recovery," which shows the different stages through which the patient has to go to recover.

 

Phases

 

The stages of evolutionary model Gorski are:

·  Stabilization: the second step is looking for the recovery of damages caused by addiction in the patient. Moreover, it also wants to crisis management.

·  Recovery media: are the external changes in the patient such as a change to a healthier and more balanced life apart from life caused by harmful addiction.

·  Maintenance: it is based on the stability of the patient so that it would no longer suffer a relapse. To do this you must have a balanced life and personal development continuum.

 

Detoxification

 

It is the treatment that the patient continues to finalize an intoxication or addiction and all its effects. This is another of the names are known to the recovery process.

 

The recovery takes place in the so-called detox centers, each of which have their own method, but everyone is looking away with the withdrawal syndrome.

 

Asbtinencia
