To take in Colombia concerned must meet the following requirements:
· Having
a minimum difference with the adopted 15 years.
· Being
married or living with a partner at least three years.
· The
singles may adopt children older than 6 years.
· Being
over 25 years of age, except in China who are 30 years.
· Not
having, or have had, oncological diseases or chronic.
· Have
means and skills to maintain and educate the child.
· To
demonstrate a commitment to monitor the adoptee.
· Possessing
a Letter of Eligibility issued by the Administration.
· To
report psychosocial.
Worth noting
In
this country there is priority for those families who do not have children. Unable
to choose either the sex or age of the minor, but they tend to deliver on
adoption of children under the age of the adoptive parents.
Thus, applicants for between 25
years and 35 years of them children 0-3; Those from 36 to 44, children 4-6; And
the adoptive parents from 45 to 55, those older than 7 years.
Before leaving the country
applicants must apply to the Central Authority a certificate stating that the
adoption has been formed under the Hague Convention and therefore are
legal.
Remarks
By
law in Colombia can only develop programs making the Colombian Family Welfare Institute (ICBF)
and making centers with operating license granted by the institute.
ICBF is an entity that depends on the Colombian government and whose
main function protect families and especially the children unprotected.
