Requirements
for an animal trade of Appendix I
To import or export an animal that is located within the Appendix I of
CITES must meet the following requirements:
· To import requires
an import permit from the Management Authority of the State of import. Issued
when the specimen is not going to be marketed.
· To export requires
an export permit from the Management Authority of the exporting country.
Issued when the specimen was acquired legally.
· To re-export
requires a re-export certificate from the Management Authority of the
State of re-export. Only broadcast if the specimen was re-exported under the
laws of the Convention.
· The animals or
plants that are alive should be transported in a manner that did not suffer
any damage.
