Delegations
The councils are not
independent but it is or delegations of the ministry in the capital of
each autonomous community in order to bring the Ministry to the citizens.
In addition to the ministries
in the Autonomous, the Ministry has offices in several foreign
countries which serve to assist Spanish citizens or foreign residents there
who need some information in the country.
General Secretariat of Social
Security
It depends inter alia, the
following entities:
· Directorate-General for
Management of Social Security has functions in relation to finance.
· Intervention General Social
Security: deals with internal accounting controls and economic operations.
· Legal Service of the Social
Security Administration: advises and advocates for social security in the
legal process.
· anagement of Computer Social
Security is responsible for the implementation of technology systems in the
agencies dependent on Social Security.
· Treasury Social Security deals with
affiliates, low registration of companies and collection of money.
· National Institute of Social
Security manages economic benefits that they are entitled to receive workers on
the basis of their membership and Social Security payments.
· Instituto Social de la
Marina: deals with the membership, efforts and benefits of workers in the sea.
Secretariat General for
Employment
This depends, among others,
the Social Guarantee Fund and the Institute of Occupational Safety
and Health at Work. The first is the one that guarantees workers the payment
of appropriate compensation in cases where the worker for reasons such
as failure to make payments decides to end its contract.
It also covers cases in which
the company dismissed its workers due to force majeure and collective
redundancies. The
Institute of Occupational Safety and Health is responsible for the management
of all things related to the prevention of occupational hazards.
Royal Patronage on Disability
It is an agency under the
Ministry of Labor is responsible for promoting the employment of people with
disabilities and to support their training and career development.
Among its functions is
preparing reports for the government of the situation in this sector. It serves as an intermediary
between government and other associations to collaborate in a way to improve
the situation.
Youth Council Spain
It is a group of youth
associations representative at the regional level whose existence emerged
in 1983. The
main goal is to represent the youth and comment on policies to this part of the
population.
