A disease is a disorder that causes physical or mental disturbances
in the normal functioning of the body, whether physical or psychological level.
The number of diseases affecting human beings is very wide.
Medicine has succeeded
over the years to find the solution for many of the diseases that were once
fatal. Today is still being studied to find out how to get to remedy all of
them.
Types of disease
The
number of diseases is infinite, but following different parameters can be
classified according to the body that affect, depending on whether they have a
cure or for its ability to spread.
In many cases, they are also
categorized by the disease so that the individual contracted. A person may
suffer from a disorder that has inherited, has eaten something or had suffered
an accident.
Acute
Disease
They are those who have a short
lifetime. Many of them are kind of infectious and heal
easilyBut it also can be classified within this group attacks infarction.
They are opposed to the
chronic usually by their different extension in time. Among the most common
acute illnesses are the flu, chicken pox or runny nose.
Chronic Diseases
They are the ones who can
extend over a long period of time or throughout life, such as allergies.
Many of them have a hereditary or congenital origin.
In many cases, early
detection and appropriate treatment can improve the quality of life. One of the
best known chronic diseases and hereditary origin is
diabetes.
Infectious Diseases
They receive this name
diseases caused by the presence of micro-organisms such as viruses,
fungi, bacteria and protozoa. Those that are produced by bacteria usually
treated with antibiotics, which however are not effective in the case of the
virus.
The gravity of the same is
very variable. A otitis is an infectious disease, but so is AIDS. Other
infectious diseases are measles, mononucleosis or the flu.

They are those diseases that are
inherited from the parents. The genes of people are sometimes influenced or
predisposed to develop certain diseases.
Many inherited diseases are
chronic and persist throughout life. Within this group are diabetes or
hemophilia. Currently, it is believed that genetic predisposition is a risk
factor for the development of cancer.
Mental illness
Mental disorders are
characterized by abnormal or unjustified cause changes in behavior, as well as
distort perceptions and interpretations of the facts.
Within this group can be
found conditions requiring drug therapy, such as schizophrenia or other
normally dealt with psychological therapy as anxiety
disorders.

influenced by the treatment he has received in time as in the case of AIDS or
for the detection of certain tumors.

These are diseases that pose
a progressive deterioration of the body. In many cases are diseases that
affect the nervous system or more specifically the brain.
The chronic degenerative
diseases are therefore often prolonged in time.. Within this classification, we
find conditions like alzheimer.
