The endangered species are
very high both in Spain and beyond. Here are named one of the most affected by
this problem.
Species in
Spain
· Iberian Lynx: is the family of
felines and himself on the Iberian Peninsula. It is a protected species since
1966.
· The brown bear: omnivorous
mammal very common in Europe and in Spain. The main reason is that extinction
is hunting.
· Quebrantahuesos: bird of prey
much like the vultures. It usually live in mountainous terrain. It is one of
the species in grave danger of extinction.
· Grouse: bird in serious
danger of extinction. Only a few copies are in the area Cantabrica, the Alps
and the Pyrenees. In Spain is protected since 1986.
· Giant Lizard: is a kind of
reptile itself in the Canary Islands. The number of copies has dropped
dangerously in the past two decades.
Species
outside Spain
· Panda Bear: Chinese mammal of
the family of bears whose main food is bamboo. They are at risk because of
their low birth rate and high death rate.
· Jaguar: American feline
large is in a state of vulnerability, that is, almost in danger of extinction.
Hunting is the leading cause of death of these animals.
· Polar Bear: mammal living in
the Arctic areas. The major causes that make this species is threatened are hunters
and thawing.
· African Elephant: is the largest
land mammal and the continuation of their species is threatened. The smuggling
of ivory and poaching are wiping out the species.
· Bengal Tiger: Indian feline in
a critical state of conservation. Hunting is killing them because of the value
of pelts and the importance of their bones in traditional Chinese medicine.
· Great
white shark: escuálido living in the waters of almost every ocean. Hunting to get
their skin, jaws and fins are wiping out the species.
· Dolphin of
Irrawady: live in the Asian coasts and the main reason for that is at risk are
networks of fishermen in the area and using explosives for illegal fishing.
· Seal: marine mammal
with a high risk of extinction. Hunting is the greatest of dangers of this
kind.
