It is the female sex hormones.
They are mainly produced by the ovaries. They are responsible for
producing the development of female sex organs and the onset of menstruation
and regulation.

related to metabolism and the synthesis and distribution of fat. The estrogen
levels vary with age and therefore increase with puberty and decreases over
the 50 years leading to the arrival of menopause.
