Figures in the history of cinema

The leading figures of cinema are mainly those directors who have marked time with his masterpieces.

 

First half of the twentieth century

 

·  Buster Keaton (1895): director of the silent film that was devoted to the address after achieving great success as an actor.

 

·  Marx Brothers (1887): comic group stressed that because the followers of the great comedians of the silent film.

 

·  Charlie Chaplin (1898): dumb most famous actor who, like Keaton, he became a film director.

·  Frank Capra (1897): Director of Italian origin creator of great films in the 30s and 40 as How beautiful it is to live! .

 

·  Alfred Hitchcock (1899): English director creator of the best suspense movies in the history of cinema.

 

·  William Wyler (1902): succeeded in winning all óscars with his 1959 film Ben-Hur.

 

·  Billy Wilder (1906): Director Samuel Wilder's nickname. She began as a scriptwriter for Paramount.

 

Second half of the twentieth century

 

·  Stanley Kubrick (1928): director of 2001: A Space Odyssey, one of the best films in the history of cinema.

 

·  Woody Allen (1935) is one of the most prol íficos directors of the modern era of cinema. Es ganador de varios óscars. It is the winner of several óscars.

 

·  Francis Ford Coppola (1939) is one of the most influential film directors. He began his film career as a screenwriter.

 

·  Martin Scorsese (1942) is one of the most important film directors of the moment.

 

·  Oliver Stone (1946): director who shows a highly political in his films always in favor of their ideology. Their escenografías resemble a documentary.

 

·  Steven Spielberg (1946): great director who was fascinated with this world from an early age.

 

·  Pedro Almodovar (1951): this is the most important filmmaker and winner of Spain

Remarks
