Hybrid cars - Introduction

Son vehicles that rely on the conventional have the habit of being composed of two engines. An electric motor that runs on battery power and other special thermal combustion using fuel and another.

These cars are cars that respect the ecological environment, and that emit very small amounts of gaseous pollutants in addition to consuming little fuel.

How

In some vehicles the electric motor only supports the engine fuel, although others can work only if the activity does not require much effort.

The electric motor gets the energy through some batteries installed in the vehicle, which can be recharged through the electric current.

It also can be loaded through the currents that produce cars for example to accelerate or slow down. While some batteries are charging others are in operation making the vehicle could move. There are ways to save energy, which vary according to the manufacturer's car.

Some vehicles have developed the ability to circulate with the electric motor until they need great acceleration when he starts to run the heat.

Types of hybrid car

Depending on the use to be given to drivers of hybrid car can be found two types:

·  In series: the engine heat triggers a generator that transmits electricity to the electric motor and this, in turn, the wheels of the vehicle.

·  In parallel: in this type of cars both the electric motor and the fuel are connected to the wheels of the car.

Benefits of hybrid car

The hybrid cars have a number of advantages, among which are the following:

·  It emits less pollution.

·  Energy saving because internal combustion engines do not require the same as a conventional one.

·  Consumption lower than in a conventional car.

·  It produces less noise than a conventional engine.

·  Not likely to run out of battery power if you forget something.

·  For further ease of use.

·  The engine has more duration than a conventional one because it does not work in the cold because the electricity serving short distances.

Disadvantages of hybrid car

·  Weight superior to a conventional vehicle.

·  Increased complexity if there is any damage.

·  Motor with a faster response.

·  The high price of the vehicles, though not true of all manufacturers.
