Increased use of new technologies

The Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce through its Monitoring Telecommunications has issued a study which shows the growth of new technologies among citizens.

 

Spending invested in the use of new technologies has increased by 200 million euros over the previous year, with the highest percentage devoted to the mobile.

 

The study was conducted in the first quarter of 2007 shows that more than half of the population has ever connected to the Internet, of whom more than 60% do so regularly.

 

For its part, the Ministry has also indicated good prospects to achieve the percentages related to the new technologies of the European average.
