Article 70 of the
Civil Code provides that any Spanish citizen can marry a foreigner or
abroad, provided that they meet the standards set forth for this.
At present, and thanks to the
breaking of barriers between countries, the number of foreigners has increased
markedly in Spain, which fosters links with Spanish people of another
nationality.
Documents
· A photocopy of the
ID card, passport or residence card.
· Certificate
literal birth date: is issued in the civil register.
· Certificate of Residence:
requested by the municipality in which it has resided for the past two years.
· Certificate of
singleness by an affidavit of marital status issued by the court.
· Certificate of
Citizenship.
· Instances
completed the Civil Registry.
· Authorization of
court if any of the spouses is lower.
The foreign spouse must also
submit:
· Consular
registration certificate that lists the address, the time taken in Spain and
the place of origin.
· Proof that the
laws of his country or not require the issuance of edicts to civil marriage in
Spain.
· Capacity marriage
certificate or singleness issued by the consul or an officer, according to the
law of the country of origin.

los documentos anteriores deben presentarse en el Juzgado o Ayuntamiento donde
se vaya a realizar el enlace en papel sellado. All previous documents are
