This is a plan signed by the government
and approved by Royal Decree 944/2005 of 29 July 2005 with the aim of
propelling the implementation of the Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT)
between the Spaniards.
This measure seeks to end
with analogue TV and the impasse in which it found itself this means
encouraging the installation of DTT.

The National Technical
Plan of DTT has the following objectives:

and rapid transition from analogue television to digital terrestrial.
Main points
The most important points
and that can be summed up in the National Technical Plan are as follows:
· Overtaking the end
of the analog broadcast from 2012 to April 2010.
· To facilitate the
transition from analogue television to digital terrestrial.
· Increasing the
supply of television programming through increased air capacity.
· To meet the
demands of the autonomous communities to enable them to perform autonomous
disconnections. The regional channels may disconnect provincialmente.
· Allowing the
introduction of Terrestrial Television via mobile phones (DVB-H) and
progress towards the Digital High Definition Television (HDTV).
· Assigned to RTVE
a multiplex full of four channels with autonomic disconnections.
· Receiving a multiplex
by broadcasters operating in analog after the blackout analog.
Plan
transition to DTT
This is a plan signed in
September 2007 in which it was agreed that the blackout analog conducted in an
orderly fashion following a series stages with predetermined dates.
This transition plan provides
73 technical areas that meet in 90 projects transition, which
make up the whole Spanish territory.
The technical areas
are areas of the territory where the radio signal is collected by a primary
center, which transferred to the other side points.
The projects are transitional
programs through which seeks an end to analog broadcasts in a technical area
and its replacement by a digital format.
Blackout
technology
The blackout technology
will be held on 3 April 2010 after the advance. Mientras tanto se producirá una fase de transición en la que la emisión

Phases
coverage
The forecast increase in
the coverage of DTT is divided into several phases. These are regulated by the National Technical Plan
and the Royal Decree 920/2006 and are as follows:
· Phase I: 80% of national
coverage prior to December 31, 2005.
· Phase II: 85% of national
coverage prior to July 31, 2007.
· Phase III: 88% of national
coverage before July 31, 2008.
· Phase IV: 90% of national
coverage before December 31, 2008.
· Phase V: 93% of national
coverage before July 31, 2009.
· Phase VI: 96% - 98% of
national coverage before April 3, 2010.
