Anorexia
It is an eating disorder
characterized by an obsession to lose weight by monitoring extreme diets
in triggering lengthy fasts. Popularly known simply by the name of
anorexia.
People who suffer from
anorexia experiencing a marked weight loss. They have distorted perceptions of
themselves and are always fat. They reject the voluntary food intake and feel
intense fear to gain weight.
These symptoms are usually
accompanied by others such as irritability, insomnia, excessive exercise,
lack of concentration, social isolation, feeling cold and sometimes consumption
of diuretics and laxatives.
The physical harm that may
result from these disorders can range from dry skin to the loss of
menstruation temporary or permanent, hair loss and the presence of
dizziness or lipotimias frequent.
If not subjected to treatment
can cause irreparable damage, resulting from malnutrition, which
threaten the life of the patient.
