Birth Registration

 

At birth a person is compulsory inclusion in the Registry. This step must be done by the next of kin between 24 hours and eight days after birth.

 

It testifies to the birth registration, as well as the date, time and place of it. This document will also include the name and sex of the child, in addition to the names of the parents.

 

To make this procedure is necessary to apply with the following documents to the Civil Registry:

 

·  Printed official duly completed.

 

·  Part of birth issued by the doctor or midwife who attended the birth.

 

·  Paper family of parents.

 

·  Printed duly completed, which is available in the Civil Registry.

 

Birth Certificate

 

It is a document that is issued in the Civil Registry and contains data from the birth certificate. The application of it can be done on a person, by mail or over the Internet in those civil registries that are computerized.

National Identity Document (DNI)

Visas

Registration of marriage

If the marriage takes place in the City Council, the minutes of celebration has to be sent to the Civil Registry. If the marriage is religious, it should go to the Civil Registry with the ecclesiastical certification attesting to the celebration.

 

Registration death

 

When a person dies, it is the duty of the next of kin or neighbors reporting this fact in the Civil Registry within 24 hours after the time of death as indicated.

 

This management can be done by mail or in a witness. The documentation required to carry out the registration is as follows:

 

·  Medical certificate of death.

 

·  National identity card or passport of the deceased.

 

·  Statement by the family to carry out the procedure.
