Major hormones

 

Prolactin

 

It is a hormone produced in the pituitary gland. It is present in both men and women, but their main function is to generate milk production in women after giving birth.

 

The levels of this hormone in men and women who are not in the above situation are low. The increase in the same might be due to illness.
