Recycling is to reuse
components that have been used previously in order to transform them into new
products.
The recycling process
is carried out through a closed cycle. This is the development of the product,
its subsequent use, and finally recovery.
This technique began to be
used in the twentieth century. Over time an increasing number of households and
people who prefer recycling waste.
Purpose of
recycling
The main causes for which
must be recycled are:
· Reducing the
volume of waste and to recycle it can be reused. Besides the higher recycling less
waste will be eliminated.
· Saving energy by using waste to
create disposable.
· Stopping
pollution: the less fossil fuel use less pollution.
· Reducing
consumption of natural resources, which are being squandered in a
continuous production processes.
Management
recycling
In Spain recycling and waste
collection are managed by two non-profit companies such as:
· Ecoembes: mission is the
design and development of systems for the collection and recovery of packaging.
Its purpose is to ensure compliance with the law 11/1997.
· Ecovidrio: its main task is
to manage the collection and recycling of glass in compliance with the laws of
recycling existing in Spain.

The main Spanish laws
affecting the recycling are:
· Royal Decree
78/1998 of 30 April which is run by the law 11/1997.
· Law 10/1998 of 21 April
waste, as amended by Law 16/2002.
· Law 11/1997 of 24 April
packaging and packaging waste.
· Royal Decree
208/2005 on electrical and electronic equipment and waste management.
· Royal Decree
1481/2001 of December 27, which regulates the disposal of waste by landfill.
· Royal Decree
653/2003 of May 30 on the incineration of waste.
Remarks
In addition to recycling,
there are other treatment systems as garbage storage in landfills,
incineration or composting is achieved by the compost.
