Renewables energy

They are those who have as an energy source some element of nature that is constantly renewing or is inexhaustible as the Sun.

Renewable energies are an alternative to the gradual depletion of fossil fuels, traditionally used, such as coal or oil.

Another of the main reasons why it is enhanced using these energies is because they pollute the environment and therefore do not contribute to climate change.

Solar Energy

It consists of obtaining electricity or thermal energy from solar radiation. There are two ways to obtain and utilize solar energy. The Sun is a source of inexhaustible energy.

It is one of the easiest green energy and cost management. The only change that occurs in nature is the installation of solar panels, which sometimes go on the roofs of the building to which they are used.

Thermal Energy

Such exploits the heat energy emitted by the sun through some thermal collectors to heat water at temperatures below 80 °.

Often used in homes to get heat and hot water. Collectors are usually installed on rooftops and should only be paying the cost of installation.

Solar power

The sun's rays are collected by some photovoltaic cells formed by semiconductor materials that convert solar radiation in a steady stream, which refers to a processor.

For example, can be a useful and practical solution to supply electrically isolated populations to those who have not reached the conventional electricity grid.

Wind energy

This is harness wind power to obtain various types of energy. But since the former has been used in wind power boats or yachts windmills.

Currently constructing wind farms where numerous wind turbines are installed. These columns are made up of approximately 40 meters or 60 meters high and a propeller with three blades attached to a metal box.

The wind moves the propeller and it spins a turbine. Wind energy is converted into mechanical and through a generator is converted into electricity.

Biomass

It is the organic matter of animal or vegetable origin that under certain natural or artificial processes can generate energy. Thus, waste nature of the agricultural and forestry activities can be used for energy production.

One way to obtain energy from this area is using the heat produced in burning, for example heaters. You can also get it as fuel:

·  Biogas: it is to harness the gas generated in the process of decomposition of organic waste from landfills, farms or industries such as brewing.

·  Bioethanol: alcohol produced from the fermentation of certain plants such as sugar cane.

·  Biodiesel: usually obtained from vegetable oils directly or recycling which has previously been used for human consumption.

The ethanol and biodiesel blended with gasoline or diesel fuel used in vehicles. The fuel obtained is less environmentally damaging, as it significantly reduces the production of gaseous pollutants.

Hydraulic Energy

Electric power is obtained from the force of water used in the waterfalls. It sees this as ecological energy in the environmental impact caused by the construction of dams necessary for the operation of hydropower plants.

Only minihidráulica, with no need for the construction of large dams is considered among the ecological energies.

Reasons for using renewable energies

·  They are inexhaustible compared with conventional ones, which become scarcer due to the massive use made of them.

·  No gaseous pollutants emitted into the atmosphere, therefore do not contribute to climate change.

·  They reduce the economic imbalance between countries do not have to remain dependent on those who are the oilfields, for example.

·  They don,t  prodece waste and if they do they are not as harmful as those of conventional energy sources, therefore, do not contribute to damaging the environment.
