Rural tourism in the Pyrenees

The Pyrenees is one of the most prominent ridges of the geography of Europe. It has over 400 kilometers long in that stand, at least 200 peaks higher than 3,000 meters.

 

Over its geography can be found wonderful places where you can spend your holidays. The flora and fauna of this area make their routes have a unique beauty.

 

Catalan Pyrenees

 

It covers the provinces of Barcelona, Gerona and Lleida. It covers the counties of Alt Empordà, Alt Urgell, Alta Ribagorça, Berguedà, Cerdanya, Garrotxa, Pallar Jussà, Pallar Simple, Ripollès, Solsones and Val d'Aran.

 

In the Catalan Pyrenees are National Park Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici, natural parks such as Montserrat and the Ebro Delta and the winter season in Crested Butte.

 

In this area abound routes by valleys and mountains, both short and long distance. There are also horseback riding, mountain bike or quads.

 

In addition, the region of Alta Ribagorça meets the conditions for practicing all types of adventure sports like paragliding or canyoning.

 

Aragonese Pyrenees

 

It extends to the northern province of Huesca by counties Jacetania, High Gállego, Sograrbe and Albagorza.

 

The area is ideal for hiking, mountaineering, hiking in quads, horseback or bicycle. The skiing, both Alpine and substance, it is very common in the resorts of Keystone or Cerler.

Andorran Pyrenees

The cuisine in the Pyrenees is very diverse and offers high-quality products such as beef and lamb, cheese, canned products of the gardens and winter soup.
