September closes with fewer unemployed

Data from the Public Employment Service on the number of unemployed shows a decline of 10,933 unemployed in September, so there is a recovery with respect to August.

Although this decline in unemployment in September takes place since 2004, data from this year are less positive. Well, taking into account the months we carry in 2007, unemployment increased over the previous year.

The sector that most employment fell this month was construction, which was that it had suffered in August. This is due to fraud performing some companies laying off their workers during the month to avoid having to abonarles holidays and making them to recruit in September.
