The month of August brought with it an increase in the CPI (Consumer Price Index) of 0.1%. Esta cifra había caído en julio un 0,7 % respecto al mes anterior. This figure had dropped in July by 0.7% over the previous month.

Despite the rising rate Interanual Inflation has remained constant reference to the month of July. It has remained at 2.2% becoming the best figure since March 2004.

This increase in the CPI is mainly due to the rise in staple foods. The most striking increases were for milk has risen 2.2% and bread which increased its price by 0.5%.
