Stock exchange - Introduction

The Stock exchange is a private institution. This is a market sale of securities, which generally relate to the shares of companies that comprise it.

 

In this market work called brokers or brokers are a number of officers involved in the transactions.

 

History

 

Early indications from stock markets can be traced back to the days of ancient Greece, when merchants arriving in Athens met with traders Athenians to exchange goods.

 

Several centuries later, specifically on the fifteenth of western European merchants traded with the titles and possessions of people.

 

The term Stock exchange, as is currently known, appeared in the sixteenth century and comes from Belgium noble Van der Bursen being conducted business meetings in their farms.

 

The first modern Stock exchange, which was founded in the Belgian city of Antwerp in the year 1460. Subsequently others appear as important as New York or London.

 

Developments in the stock exchange

 

The first broker or brokers conducting transactions in the buildings of the Stock exchange. In their working hours were characteristic of griteríos to buy and sell shares.

 

Currently, this has been almost forgotten since most brokers working in the securities firms or from their homes. To do so with a brokerage that is a stock market online. This led to a new type of online brokers called corridors.
